My major is media and I am in the final year of my Bachelor programme in Media Studies. So now for me, pursuing (追求，to get) a postgraduate degree in media is my current goal. Nowadays, the world is quite different from the past. In the past, reading books was what most people did in their spare time, but now pop music, dramas and films become popular cultural products instead of books. From those things, I can get access to many interesting phenomena and views of value, which enriched my inner inward world. Now, it is the era of Internet. Social media affects every aspects of our life, and cultural industries become one of the hottest topics in the world. I received decent basic education that was sound and solid in culture, media and society. I am especially interested in transnational media and understanding cultural industries. Critical thinking and a solid foundation of media theories are required, but it is not dull. Based on the overall situation of cultural globalisation and my own interests on cultural products, I wish I can be part of the media industry. However, they are not practical enough for looking for a job. Therefore, I would like to study a postgraduate course which combines both media producing experience and basic business knowledge. Besides the basic media courses in university, the internship is also important. I hope I can be an intern in top 500 media companies so that I can have more opportunities to learn brand knowledge and carry out promotion activities. TV station is also a good place to go. I would have the opportunity to write programme proposals for hot issues, as well as be involved in shooting and editing programmes.

My cousin has a daughter who is 5 years old now. She is the joy of our family and she always bring laugh and happiness to us. Unlike other 5-years-old kids, she is thoughtful and premature. She is interested in various fashionable clothes and cosmetic products. Every time she comes to my home, she can always find my make-up products and wear my dresses. She is such a queen of destruction so that I usually hide my belongings in case she would find them. One day, I was hurried to a date with my boyfriend and I got no time to lock my wardrobe and drawer. After a happy date, I went back home to see my cousin sitting in the living room. Then I felt a creepy vibe: where is my niece? I rushed into my room and as what I had expected, my little niece had put on makeup and wore my top as dress and my high heels. Her lips were so red and then I found that was my Dior 999! Moreover, her cheeks were in vivid pink and her eye lines were like panda’s eyes. I found it both angry and laughable since she was like a little cute monster. We all started laughing and she was inflated with pride. I couldn’t blame her for ruining my cosmetics, since she reminded me of my old days that stealing my mom’s cosmetics and dressing myself as a princess. Every girl has a dream of becoming a beautiful princess and I believe my niece also wants to be loved by others.
